Summer Events & Concerts

I hear this comment all the time from my visiting friends, “yeah, we can see why you live here in Vail and are always posting fun pictures online for us to see.” The reality of life in the Vail Valley is there is always something fun to do. This is the good news for visitors. Sometimes you will hear a local lament “I have to go to another event this weekend” as they hunch their shoulders and look toward the ground. The sigh released from their lungs indicates just a twinge of pain but mostly sarcasm.

It’s true- really, there is always something fun happening here. Fun is a relative term but I think we can make the majority of people and families happy with the variety our towns have to offer.

Ok, here is a small list of ongoing events happening this Summer in the Vail Valley.

Farmers Markets. we have several and they each have their own flair, unique booths and a few similarities. These are relaxing, festive and interesting events for everyone in the family. They have children’s activities, food you can eat while walking around the market, food you can take home with you. Refreshing treats like homemade lemonade and ice cream. The best cup cakes to ever touch your lips, made here locally. Music floats through and is perfect for a beautiful day- which we normally have here in Colorado. We could go on and on about everything Farmers Market.

Ok, so let’s say it does rain or your kids just like to read. We have a number of libraries.

You would think that in our compact community we would have only 1 library but surprised we like to read around here so we have several. Town of Vail Public Library, Eagle Valley Library District which has library’s in Avon, Eagle and Gypsum.
